JoomPro is a first end-to-end cross-border B2B marketplace. We aspire to create a new level of service in the wholesale purchasing market and give everyone, anywhere in the world, the opportunity to easily and efficiently order goods from factories in China, with plans to include India, Bangladesh, Turkey, and others in the future.
JoomPro is one of the key businesses of Joom, an international group of e-commerce companies founded in 2016 in Latvia. Joom also includes other businesses: Joom Marketplace, a platform for global shopping; Onfy, a pharmaceutical marketplace in Germany; and Joom Pulse, a data platform that provides analytics and recommendations for marketplace sellers. Joom has offices in Latvia, China, Hong Kong, the USA, Germany, Brazil, and Portugal, with its headquarters in Lisbon, Portugal.
We are now looking for a Business Development Manager to explore and establish relationships with the Chinese B2B merchants for JoomPro merchant eco-system, and build effective merchant recruitment process.
Responsibilities
- Build and manage a merchant recruitment pipeline and set up criteria
- Explore B2B merchant leads via multiple channels to enrich JoomPro’s merchant eco-system
- Onboard new merchant and conduct basic merchant training
- Participate in industry conferences/exhibition and build relationship with third-party partners and industrial associations
- Leverage multiple marketing channels to enhance JoomPro’s brand awareness
Requirements
- 5+ years of business development experience working with suppliers
- Good communication and presentation skills
- Flexibility and ability to work autonomously in a demanding and uncertain environment
- Adaptability to work in an environment of cross-national and diversified cultural background
- Proficiency of English level
Preferred
- Profound understanding of B2B market and industrial zones in China
- Experience and Knowledge of export trade practices
- Analytical mindset and skill
