Business Development Manager

Joom Marketplace is a platform for shopping from all over the world. Joom Marketplace helps consumers to make shopping easy and entertaining and provides access to high-quality goods from around the world. Joom Marketplace is one of the key businesses of Joom, an international group of e-commerce companies that was founded in 2016 in Latvia. Joom also includes the following businesses: Onfy, a pharmaceutical marketplace in Germany; JoomPro, a platform for cross-border wholesale trade. Joom’s offices are located in Latvia, China, the USA, Germany, Brazil and Portugal.

We are currently looking for a Business Development Manager responsible for attracting new merchants and brands with unique assortment in China, negotiating the best conditions, and proactively driving the project's development.

Responsibilities

  • Search for and integrate new sellers (merchants and brand owners) into our marketplace platform
  • Communicate with potential sellers (in person, by correspondence, by phone), present our platform, maintain relations with them, conduct negotiations
  • Support the onboarding and KYC process of our sellers
  • Enrich funnel of incoming leads via building strong and long-term relationship with third party partners (logistics/payments/ERP)
  • Work closely with the HQ team, offer solutions based on sellers’ needs and our expertise
  • Participate in industry conferences to establish Joom as a leading B2B partner in China

Requirements

  • Excellent understanding of the Chinese e-commerce market
  • Profound experience in working with Chinese sellers
  • Fluent Chinese
  • Advanced level of English, with the ability to conduct negotiations
  • Good presentation skills

Preferred

  • Experience in networking and communication on the highest level
  • Experience with GR
  • Past experience in international business development
