Sourcing manager (Auto/Moto, Industry, Fashion)

Full-Time in Shenzhen, CN

We want to give everyone from anywhere in the world an opportunity to order goods from factories in China (and Vietnam, Bangladesh, and Turkey in the future) quickly, easily, and safely.

JoomPro is one of the key businesses of Joom, an international group of e-commerce companies that was founded in 2016 in Latvia. Joom also includes other businesses: Joom Marketplace, a platform for shopping from all over the world, and Onfy, a pharmaceutical marketplace in Germany. Joom’s offices are located in Latvia, China, the USA, Germany, Brazil and Portugal.

We are looking for a Sourcing Manager to find suppliers for our B2B clients, control the processing of foreign trade deals, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Search for Chinese suppliers from different industries and conduct negotiations about procuring; establish and develop relations with suppliers
  • Manage order implementation by a supplier from pre-payment to shipping (control the implementation of all client’s requirements, timings, labeling, etc.)
  • Analyse markets of different products in China, their pricing and features; understand client’s requirements in English and be able to explain them to factories
  • Work with commercial and customs documentation (contracts, invoices, payments, letters of authorization, etc.) both in English and Chinese
  • Organise and control pre-shipment quality inspection of goods through subcontractors
  • Process clients' quality claims with suppliers and find acceptable solutions
  • Collect and check customs & logistics information provided by merchants for related departments
  • Communicate with other departments (Sales, Customs & Logistics) and HQ in English

Requirements

  • Native or Fluent Chinese (C1+)
  • Native or Fluent English (C1+)
  • Experience in international supplies and sourcing at least 3 years
  • Understanding logistics, customs, and certification processes for other countries (preferably Latin America, EU, CIS)
  • Experience working with manufacturing (industrial equipment, raw materials, commercial equipment) or fashion categories
  • Good communication skills
  • Analytical mindset
