UX writer / Content Designer at Joom Marketplace

Full-Time in Lisbon, PT - Remote OK

Joom Marketplace is a platform for shopping from all over the world. Joom Marketplace helps consumers to make shopping easy and entertaining and provides access to high quality goods from around the world.

Joom Marketplace is one of the key businesses of Joom, international group of e-commerce and fintech companies that was founded in 2016 in Latvia. Joom also includes the following businesses: Onfy, a pharmaceutical marketplace in Germany; JoomPro, a platform for cross-border wholesale trade. Joom’s offices are located in Latvia, China, Hong Kong, the USA, Germany and Portugal.

We are now looking for a UX writer who will be in charge of our UI copy ensuring our English-speaking users all over the world have the best possible Joom experience. You will be working closely with Product Designers, Product Managers, UX Researchers, Developers and Localisation specialists at all phases of the product development lifecycle: from brainstorming and researching to shipping products and iterating.

Responsibilities

  • Write clear, concise and engaging copy across multiple platforms that impact key business metrics
  • Meet with all the relevant stakeholders and teams to ideate and agree on the best way to solve product challenges and reach our business objectives always driven by clear and measurable goals
  • Ensure a consistent and highly optimised user experience at all times
  • Work with our Localisation team as everything you write will then be translated into 20+ languages

Requirements

  • Excellent writing skills, minimum 2 year of experience in UX writing in a tech company
  • Native level fluency in English
  • Experience working in an Agile environment with cross-functional teams
  • The ability to craft compelling and concise copy in a user-friendly, inclusive and accessible way
  • Experience in advocating for information architecture and content strategy, making sure that the products are intuitive and consistent
  • Training or education in a relevant field (marketing, copywriting, communication, translation or similar)
  • Experience with design tools like Figma, Jira or any other bug-tracking tools
