Category Manager

Full-Time in Lisbon, PT

JoomPro is a platform for cross-border wholesale trade. We aspire to create a new level of service in the wholesale purchasing market. We want to give everyone from anywhere in the world an opportunity to order goods from factories in China (and Vietnam, Bangladesh, Turkey in future) quickly, easily, and safely.

JoomPro is one of the key businesses of Joom, international group of e-commerce companies that was founded in 2016 in Latvia. Joom also includes other businesses: Joom Marketplace, a platform for shopping from all over the world and Onfy, a pharmaceutical marketplace in Germany. Joom’s offices are located in Latvia, China, Hong Kong, the USA, Germany, Brazil and Portugal.

We are currently looking for first Category Managers to develop several categories for JoomPro: consumer electronics, home & decor, and fashion.

Responsibilities

  • Conducting assortment analysis
  • Identifying closed and underserved niches to generate demand for assortment procurement
  • Evaluating price segments and the completeness of their offerings
  • Working on assortment "exclusives" with purchasing department
  • Managing product plans
  • Collaborating with the marketing team to promote products on the platform

Requirements

  • Experience working in retail, B2B, FMCG, preferably eCommerce
  • At least 3 years of category management experience in the marketplace
  • Fluent English
  • Systematic thinking and critical thinking
  • Analytical mindset (ability to analyze Power BI reports, identify trends and dynamics)
  • Proficient in MS Excel, ability to work with large volumes of data (VLOOKUP, pivot tables)
  • Strong communication skills (ability to conduct business correspondence, effectively communicate information)
  • Ability to work in a multitasking environment and rapidly changing conditions (quick task switching, time management, and prioritization skills)

  • Customer service and negotiation skills
